Children

It was always the intention for St Nicholas church to be a dual-purpose building here in Orpington, where the local community could meet during the week to enjoy various activities.

Sunday Mornings

During the 10am service we have Kids Club for children aged 3-10 year. Pathfinders for young people in school Year 6 and above. These groups start in church and then go for their own age-appropriate sessions, which include Bible story and discussion, worship, prayer and craft activities.

Messy Church

Messy Church takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. Messy Church is for all the family. We start with refreshments, including tea and cakes, followed by a short worship session, and then some art and craft activities. Everyone is welcome!

Just Babies

Just Babies takes place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm every Tuesday. We provide a friendly environment in which new parents can share their experiences and give each other support. This group is intended for those with babies who are not yet crawling.

Parent and Toddler Group

Our Parent and Toddler Group takes place on Wednesday mornings during term time, from 9.30am to 12pm. £1.50 per child, adults 50p. This is a great opportunity for parents to come and have a chat and a coffee while their children play or join in one of the activities such as craft, singing or story time.

As a church we adhere to the Diocese of Rochester’s Safeguarding policy and all of our leaders have DBS checks and attend relevant safeguarding training.
