Children

It was always the intention for St Nicholas church to be a dual-purpose building here in Orpington, where the local community could meet during the week to enjoy various activities.

Sunday Mornings

During the 10.30am service we have Kids Club for children aged 3-10 years. ‘Ignite’ for young people in school Year 6 and above. These groups start in church and then go for their own age-appropriate sessions, which include Bible story and discussion, worship, prayer and craft activities.

Messy Church

From 2024 Messy Church will be taking place on the 3rd Sunday in the month during term time, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. Messy Church is for all the family. We start with refreshments, followed by a short worship session, and then some art and craft activities. Everyone is welcome!

Just Babies

Just Babies takes place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm every Tuesday. We provide a friendly environment in which new parents can share their experiences and give each other support. This group is intended for those with babies who are not yet walking.

Parent and Toddler Group

Our Parent and Toddler Group takes place on Wednesday mornings during term time, from 9.30am to 11.30am. £2 per child, £1 per adult. This is a great opportunity for parents to come and have a chat and a coffee while their children play or join in one of the activities such as craft, singing or story time.
